Filipino Night — For Our Students & Players
jOIN THE FUN ON MARCH 29TH
An exclusive, free, appreciation event just for our community. If you've taken a Hong Kong or Riichi class and/or play regularly at the Studio, join us for a night of authentic mahjong fun.
RSVP REQUIRED (see form below)
A FREE EVENING OF FILIPINO MAHJONG FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Filipino Mahjong is one of the easiest and most social versions of mahjong — and this last Sunday of the month, we're dedicating the entire evening to full Filipino-style play at the Studio for our community of students and players.
For our players who have never learned Filipino-style, there will be a complimentary teaching session if you come early. But after that, you're on your own. Mrs. K wants to PLAY at this event, not teach.
And since this event is completely free, we think that's a fair deal.
Who Can Attend
This event is exclusively for students and players of Atlanta Mahjong Studio. That means you've taken a Hong Kong or Riichi class, rented a table, or played in a league.
No exceptions. You cannot bring a friend who hasn't done any of the above. This is a community appreciation event for players who have helped support the Studio.
Cost
- Free with approved RSVP
How to RSVP
Submit your RSVP and Mrs. K will personally approve after she verifies your customer status. You are not confirmed until you hear back from her (the RSVP form is below).
How It Works
4:00 PM → Early Arrival for Newer Players:
If you don't know how to play Filipino Mahjong, show up at 4:00. You'll have an hour to get oriented before open play begins. This is not a formal class — just a head start. Ask questions, watch a round, get your bearings. Once open play starts at 5:00, Mrs. K will sit down to play, and she's not getting back up.
5:00 – 7:00 PM → Filipino Open Play Starts:
Full Filipino-style play. No teaching during this time — this is dedicated gameplay.
Tables rotate between rounds to keep things social. Winners stay at their table. Others move to new tables. If you arrive late, you'll need to wait until a table opens.
Schedule
- 4:00 PM → Early arrival for players who need to learn the basics
