MCR Mondays League

Sale price $50.00

Three, fun, LOW-PRESSURE MATCHES.

A league for those who've taken our MCR Complete Lesson or already know how to play MCR-style mahjong.

What Is the MCR Mondays League?

A structured MCR (Competition Mahjong) play series for players who want casual league play with real scoring and consistency — while still keeping things friendly, supportive, and social, without the pressure of tournament rules or competitive intensity.

This league is guaranteed weekly play with score tracking, friendly competition, and room to be social at the table.

If you've completed our MCR class and want a consistent seat every week — this is your league.

How It Works

  • Each session is 2 hours of guaranteed play — same time, same day, every week.
  • Scores will be tracked for learning and fun. This is NOT tournament play.
  • Tables rotate between sessions to keep things social.
  • We will be using an MCR Calculator to help with scoring.
  • Play follows relaxed house rules: no mandatory penalties, wrong calls can be retracted, and you can take your time to practice scoring hands.
  • Players are welcome to chat, help each other, and support the table during play. We can review hands to discuss strategy.

Schedule (all dates are Mondays)

  • September 14, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • September 21, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • September 28, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Requirements

You have taken our MCR Class or already know how to:

  • Build a legal winning hand following MCR rules
  • Make basic calls (Pong, Chow, Kong, Mahjong)

Scoring knowledge is NOT required — we will use an MCR Calculator.

What to Expect (Player Etiquette)

We follow "Say, Show, Do" by saying the call, showing the tiles, and then completing the action.

We help others at the table. We want to win, but we are all here to learn the game and have a good time!

We play at a friendly pace and avoid rushing other players or taking too long ourselves!

  • This is not a tournament.
  • No shaming for low-value wins.
  • No criticizing another player's discard choices.
  • Mistakes are expected and welcomed — that's the point of practice!
