Have a Seat. Shuffle Up. Let’s Play
Whether you're new to mahjong or grew up calling tiles, there's a seat for you. We offer lessons and open play, with a small reservation fee based on the choice of table and length of play.
Our go-to styles are Hong Kong and Japanese (Riichi)—but if your group prefers something like MCR, Filipino, or Taiwanese, we have the tiles and tables for any style.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we can’t promise a table or seat without a reservation.

New to mahjong? Start with a lesson — we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
Already know how to play? Book a table or join our waiting list for individual seats.
Common Questions
General
Is gambling allowed?
Nope. Our studio is not your shady Uncle's basement. Gambling, smoking, vaping, and drinking aren’t allowed in the studio. Respect the space, the game, and your fellow players.
I’m a beginner — is that okay?
Of course. But if you don't know how to play, you need to take a lesson first. If you book a table and someone in your group doesn't know how to play, they should book a lesson prior, or you can teach them during your table reservation. Find out more on our lessons page.
What kind of mahjong do you support?
Our tiles and tables support Asian-style play: Hong Kong, Chinese, Filipino, Taiwanese, and Japanese (Riichi). We do not currently offer or teach American-style mahjong.
Our "house style" for those who want to book a seat at a non-Riichi table, is Hong Kong. If you have a group and prefer a different style, book four seats (a full table) and play the one you like.
Do you teach Riichi?
We do! But unlike teaching Hong Kong-style, which is pretty straightforward and can be booked through our site, learning Riichi is...a process. For more information, see our information about lessons.
Can I bring food or drinks?
We don’t serve food or drinks upstairs, but you’re welcome to bring light snacks and beverages (nothing smelly, please). You won't go hungry though — Atlanta Chinatown’s food court and restaurants are just downstairs. Amazing options, generous portions, unbeatable prices.
What's the parking situation?
Atlanta Chinatown in Chamblee offers abundant parking just seconds from our studio, and is free for all guests. How rare is that?
and...the bathroom situation?
Our bathrooms are clean, available only to upstairs guests, and are secured by a keycode.

Interested in Lessons?
So you’ve watched a few YouTube videos, stared at some mysterious tiles, and thought, “I want to learn this.” Or, maybe everyone in your family already plays and you're embarrassed you still don't know how. Good news — we’ll teach you!
Obligatory merch
Merch sales help us keep reservation costs low, replace parts when things eventually break, and keep the studio thriving. Plus, the chairs are padded. You’re welcome.
