Filipino Mahjong is one of the easiest and most social versions of mahjong — and every last Tuesday night of the month we’re playing it at the studio!
You don’t need to be Filipino to join. You don’t even need experience — it’s quick to learn, and we’ll group beginners together in Round 1. All forms of humans are welcome.
Event Highlights
- Style: 144-tile Filipino Mahjong (5 sets + 1 pair, no jokers)
- When: November 25th, 5:30PM
- Where: Atlanta Mahjong Studio, automatic tables set to Filipino Mahjong
- Who: Everyone! Beginners, casual players, and seasoned players are all welcome.
How It Works
- Tables rotate between rounds to keep things social.

- Winners stay at their table.
- Others move to new tables.

- New players should arrive on time for Round 1 to learn in a beginner group before joining the rotation.
- If you arrive late, you’ll need to wait until a table opens up.
- No spectators — everyone attending must purchase a seat, so you’re ready when the tiles call to you.
Schedule
- 5:30 – 6:30 PM → Beginner Class
- 5:30 – 8:00 PM → Filipino-style mahjong open play
